It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our dear Count Rudi von Schonberg on Saturday, 17th October.

Count Rudi served as the Honourary President of Collegium Musicum for many, many years and was not only a dear friend, but also a devoted supporter of our choir and orchestra.
He generously helped us organise concerts in Marbella and, together with his wife, regularly attended not only our concerts but also our Gala Events. He was always there to support us, not only through his generosity, but through his genuine affection for our music and for the members of Collegium Musicum.

One particularly cherished memory is the celebration of the 60th birthday of our former conductor, Annemarie, at his beautiful villa in Marbella. Members of Collegium Musicum gathered there for this very special occasion, which included a wonderful house concert performed by our own members. It was a memorable evening that we will always treasure.

We will remember Count Rudi with great affection and gratitude. We will deeply miss his unwavering support, his friendship and, above all, the heartfelt emotion he so openly showed whenever he attended our concerts. His presence meant a great deal to us, and his special connection with Collegium Musicum will always remain a treasured part of our history.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by us all.
